30 Years since the Falklands War in 1982

Mark Lambird our Managing Director abandoned his plans to be a solicitor in 1980 to join the Parachute Regiment. He served as a Private in D Company, 2 Para during the Falkland’s War of 1982. He saw action at Goose Green and Wireless Ridge and was one of the first soldiers in Port Stanley on the day of the surrender. Mark was also on the shore at Bluff Cove when the Sir Galahad and Sir Tristram where stuck by Argentine Skyhawks and he assisted the 2 Para medics as a stretcher bearer and said that this was the most shocking thing he had ever witnessed.

Mark Left the Army in 1984 and has worked for EMC group of companies ever since.
